What's New

Webex integration - We are happy to announce our new App Hub integration with Webex – Kaltura Sync:

• With Kaltura Sync, you can publish Webex recordings across your organization to Kaltura. Through this integration, we automate workflows and save you time and extra work. Once the integration is set up, you can record sessions and they will be automatically uploaded to Kaltura. 
• The integration is self-served and can be easily set up from the integration tab in Rich Media CMS. You can choose your categories and users, and opt in/out content based on groups.
  
• You can find our app on Webex App Hub and the instructions for the integration setup.
  
• Important: Cisco is transitioning all customers to the new App Hub this year (for detailed timeline, see Cisco documentation - Upcoming retirement of Site Administration management console). Therefore, existing customers should update to the new Kaltura Sync App Hub integration. For more info please contact your CSM.

Analytics

• Audience analytics dashboards (Technology and Geo location) may now be filtered by playback types such as: VOD, Live and DVR.
• Multiple choice selection  has been enable for playback types in the Engagement Dashboard.
• Additional metrics were added to the Real-time discovery graph: visual indicator for the metric type (QoS and Engagement), player errors metrics and download time metrics.
• The ability to filter by user, OS and browser in the Real-time dashboard has been added.

What's New

Zoom Recording - New Transcoding Profile:  A new transcoding profile will be applied automatically to all newly recorded content ingested from Zoom, both for recordings from the legacy Zoom integration or from the new Marketplace integration. The new transcoding profile generates a Full HD flavor and a SD flavor for smaller screens. The Full HD flavor is marked as the source and the original source flavor is not retained. Previous content is not affected. The new transcoding profile is applied only to the new Zoom recordings ingested to the system from now on. 

This new transcoding profile was developed to create a more efficient transcoding logic and quality playback experience. This profile is not editable by admins.

What's New

• Zoom Integration - Management of the Kaltura Zoom Integration is now set in the Rich Media Content Management System instead of in Zoom. We improved the Zoom integration setup and management workflow. The Zoom Settings management is now implemented in the Rich Media CMS, in addition to the initial settings in Zoom during the setup. Authentication is done by using the Zoom Integration code that is generated in Rich Media CMS. See the article Kaltura Video Integration with Zoom - Setup Guide for additional information.
  In the Rich Media Content Management System, under Settings > Integrations, admins can now:

1. View a list of the existing Zoom integrations. 
2. Enable / Disable the Zoom integration
3. Edit the Zoom integration settings

Zoom Integration - New Features

• Delete recordings from Zoom after uploading recording to Kaltura. This feature saves space on Zoom storage. See Kaltura Video Integration with Zoom - Setup Guide.
• Automatically publish to LMS categories.  A one time set up of the LMS category (course) may be be set up in Zoom. See Publishing Zoom Recordings to LMS Categories.
• Support for Regional Cloud (Pending the update to the Q3 Regional Cloud release) and Kaltura On-Prem.
• And more.

What's New

This release provides quality improvements for searching in the Rich Media CMS. Algorithmic techniques for detecting spelling errors in text have been implemented. This following changes and addtions have been made to the Rich Media CMS search.

• Captions Search - You can search for entries with captions by selecting Videos with Captions in the Additional Filters drop down menu.
  
• Elastic Search Changes  -  You can search for an exact phrase by using  “ “ double quotes.
• Partial Search 

When searching for up to two words, N-grams are used. N-grams are like a sliding window that moves across the word - a continuous sequence of characters of the specified length.

• Each word is broken into a 3 letter token. 
• If there is a match of 80% - results are rendered.

When the number of search words is greater than two:

• All words searched must appear in the results (in any order)
• Demonstrative words such as this/that/… and prepositions are ignored.

• Supported Operands - The following operands are now supported: ! 

Exclamation point! 

• The entire phrase to the left of the ! will be partially searched.
• The entire phrase to the right of the ! will be ignored even with an exact match

For example:Jane!Rockport will return all entries that include a partial portion of the name.

               Jane! (anything with a partial portion of the name) - Janet,  Jano,   Anette will be rendered.

The term Rockport will be ignored.

              Every search operates with partial search, there is no need no need to use the asterisk *.
