Content Lab - Content Lab is an AI-powered repurposing engine that lets users generate multiple assets from their content to drive engagement, learning and growth. Content Lab supports instant repurposing of videos into various formats, including clips, quizzes, and summaries and chapters. It seamlessly integrates with existing content management workflows through the Video Portal and Kaltura Management Console.
- Clips: Automatically trim long-form videos to create shareable clips containing the most impactful moments. Content Lab’s AI engine identifies these moments based on high engagement points and speaker cues. Clips can be saved as entries, embedded for internal or external use, or downloaded.
- Quiz: Automate the creation of engaging, customizable quizzes that appear throughout the video content. Quiz drafts can be saved and edited via the Kaltura Video Editor.
- Summary and chapters: Auto-generate summaries of videos, including chaptered summaries. Admins can edit the summary texts and adjust chapter timestamps within each draft.
Steps for accessing the Content Lab vary depending on the Kaltura application.
- For KMC, access the Content Lab through the Create with AI button on the Entry Details page.
- For Video Portal, access the Content Lab through the Create with AI button on the Media page.

To use Content Lab, credits must be purchased through Kaltura's REACH credits. The cost of Content Lab is charged per hour of the original content, with each generation incurring an additional charge.
