About
After Content Lab generates your clips, you can preview them, edit their metadata, trim them, save them, or delete them.

Preview a clip
- Open Content Lab. For instructions, see Access Content Lab in your Kaltura application.
- Click Clips.
- Click on a clip in the list to open the preview window.
- Click the Play button to preview the clip.

Edit a draft clip’s metadata
You can edit the suggested title, description, and tags* for any draft clip before saving.
- Click on a clip in the list to open the preview window.
- Click the Edit details button at the top of the preview window.

An additional screen displays.
- Update the title, description, and/or tags*.
- Click Save.
A confirmation message lets you know the previous draft metadata will be overwritten.


The most recently saved metadata will always be shown when returning to the draft.
Delete a draft clip
- Click on a clip in the list to open the preview window.
- Click the Delete draft button at the bottom left of the preview window.
A confirmation displays alerting you that this action cannot be undone. - Click Delete draft to continue.

Once deleted, the draft is removed from your list and can no longer be edited or saved.
Provide feedback on a clip
- Click the thumbs up or thumbs down icon under the player to provide your feedback on the clip. If you click thumbs down, an additional screen displays.
- Click to choose a reason and, optionally, provide additional details.
- Click Send.

Trim and save a clip
- Click on a clip in the list to open the preview window.
- Click the Trim manually button at the top of the preview window.
- Drag either end of the timeline to adjust the clip's start and end points. Up to 30% of the surrounding video is available before and after the generated clip.
- Click Done.
- Click Save at the bottom right of your screen. The Save clip screen displays.

Review or edit the suggested title, description, and tags* before saving the clip.
- Select Burn captions to permanently burn captions into the clip. If multiple caption files are available, select the caption file you want to use.
- Click Save.

The editing controls display.


The clip is added to Saved Clips.
*Tags are currently available only in Content Lab for Rich Media CMS and legacy Video Portal.
After you save a clip
After you save a clip, additional options are available.
