The Kaltura Room is a powerful meeting space utilized for Interactive room sessions in Events. The Kaltura Room brings teams together for real-time collaboration and learning. Whether for team workshops, training sessions, or organizational gatherings, the Kaltura Room helps users:
- Create impactful gatherings that keep participants actively involved through rich engagement tools like polls, quizzes, chat and reactions.
- Boost knowledge-sharing with collaborative tools like breakout rooms, and whiteboards.
- Deliver on-brand experiences with customizable branding options.
- Ensure media-rich sessions run seamlessly with storyboard planning and native video playback.
Kaltura Rooms are accessible on mobile devices through the browser - no app required. Most features are available, including chat, raising hands, joining the stage, and participating in breakout rooms.
However, some moderation and advanced presenter tools (like storyboard editing, layout changes, and screen sharing) are view-only on mobile.

Chat and Collaboration (C&C)
The Chat and Collaboration (C&C) panel provides real-time communication and engagement tools.
- On desktop, it appears in the right sidebar.
- On mobile, it appears at the bottom of the screen.
C&C integrates chat, polls, and collaboration tools to help moderators create interactive sessions.
Available features depend on account configuration and/or user role and may include:
- Assistant - Monitor real-time engagement analytics and quickly launch interaction tools (polls, Q&A, etc.).
- Interactions - Create and manage live polls, quizzes, surveys, word clouds, and other audience engagement activities.
- Updates - Send announcements and session-wide messages to keep participants informed.
- Live Stage - View and manage public chat, Q&A, participant lists, and the main session feed in real time.
- Private Chat - Hold one-on-one direct messages with individual participants during the session.
