About
Embedding lets you place Kaltura media on another website or page, using an embed code.
Where you get the embed code depends on where you work: Content Hubs, legacy Video Portal, the player, the Rich Media CMS, or your LMS.
Embed from Content Hubs
On the media page, the embed code is under Share.

Click the Share button under the player, then click the embed icon. You choose a player from the Choose player menu and a size from the Max embed size menu. Your administrator defines the available sizes in the Embed module.
If your site uses secure embed, viewers must log in before the embedded media plays.
- For instructions, see Embed media in Content Hubs or Share and embed media in legacy Video Portal.
- For admin settings, see Share module and Embed module.
Embed from the player
If the Share & embed plugin is enabled on the player, viewers can get an embed code from the Share option in the player.

The embed code uses the width and height set in the player's Default player ratio in the Player Studio. Viewers can also start the video at a specific time or embed a clip.
- For instructions, see Share and embed plugin.
- For admin settings, see Enable sharing and embedding in the player.
Embed from the Rich Media CMS
Admins can get an embed code for any media entry from the Share & Embed page in the Rich Media CMS.

Unless Responsive is on, the embed code uses the width and height set in the player's Default player ratio in the Player Studio.
- For instructions, see Share and embed media in Rich Media CMS.
- To set the default size, see Set default dimensions for embedded players.
Embed from your LMS
In an LMS such as Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle, or Sakai, click the Embed button under the player on the media page.

The Embed window works the same way as in Content Hubs: you choose a player from the Choose player menu and a size from the Max embed size menu. Your administrator defines the available players and sizes in the Embed module.
To add Kaltura media directly to course content, such as an assignment or a discussion, you don't need an embed code. Use the Embed Kaltura Media window in your LMS's rich-text editor instead. For instructions, see the article for your LMS: Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle, or Sakai.
- For admin settings, see Share module and Embed module.
