About
The Share module controls the Share button on media pages, where users can share media with a link, by email, or on social networks. You can choose which share options appear, and whether the Share button appears at all.
When users click Share, the Share window opens with the available options.
- The Share window can also include options that aren't set in this module:
- Embed code: set in the Embed module
- Invite links and guest links: set in the Invitetomedia module
- In an LMS integration, the share options don't apply, so the button is labeled Embed and only offers an embed code. It still only appears if this module is enabled.
Configure
1. Go to your Configuration Management console, locate the Share module in the left panel, then select it. You can also navigate directly using a link: https://{your_site_url}/admin/config/tab/share
The Share page displays.
2. Configure the following:
- enabled - Set to Yes to enable the module.
- socialShare - Select the share options available in the share window, including URL for copying a link to the media. Choose from the following options:
- Twitter (X)
- Line
- URL
If you clear all the share options and the Share window has no other options, such as embed code, invite links, or guest links, the Share button is hidden.
3. Click Save.
