Embedding adds media directly to a website or application, so viewers can watch without leaving the page. Admins can get an embed code for any media entry from the Share & Embed page in the Rich Media CMS.

Open the Share & Embed page

1. Log in to your Rich Media CMS.
The Entries page displays.
2. Find the media entry you want to embed, and click its title or thumbnail.

   

   The entry details page opens.

   

3. Below the media thumbnail, click Share & Embed.

   

   The Share & Embed page displays.

   

Choose a player

Select a player from the player dropdown at the top of the page. To find a player, search for its name in the list.

Preview the player

To see the media with this player on its own page, click Standalone Preview, or scan the QR code with your mobile device.

Select embed options

1. Under Advanced settings, select an embed type from the dropdown.

The following options are available:

• Dynamic Embed - The recommended way to embed the Kaltura player dynamically in websites and web applications.
• Iframe Embed (default) - Uses no page JavaScript, so it works on sites that don't allow third-party JavaScript. It meets stricter page security requirements and supports HTML5 delivery.
• Auto Embed - Short embed code that quickly adds a player or widget to a page, without runtime customization.
• Thumbnail Embed - Shows the video thumbnail until the viewer clicks play, and only then loads the player. This helps pages with many players load faster.

2. (Optional) Turn on any of the following:

• Support for HTTPS embed code - Use this for secure (HTTPS) pages.
• Responsive - The player adjusts to the size of its container. If Responsive is off, the embed code uses the width and height set in the player's Default player ratio in Studio.

Copy the embed code

1. Click Copy under the window.

2. Paste the code into your website or platform.
