Would you like to combine multiple videos and images into a single video? You can do this by 'stitching' together existing media using Kaltura’s media stitching tool.
- Only VOD videos and images can be stitched.
- The duration of an image is configured by your administrator.
- Multi-stream videos are not supported.
- This feature requires the mediastitching module to be enabled.
Stitch media
You can stitch media that you are the owner or co-editor of.
- From the +Create menu, select Stitch videos.
- In the Title field, enter a name for your video. (The default name is My new video followed by the date).
- In the Choose media to stitch section, click the + Add button next to each item. The selected items show a checkmark and appear in the Media to stitch together section.
- Click the + Add button again to remove an item.
- You must select at least 2 items and up to 5 items.
- The total duration of the stitched video can’t exceed 5 hours.
The 'Stitch video' page opens.
To reorder items, drag them using the handle (two lines) on the left.
You can click the three dots to to the right of an item to:
- Move an item to the top
- Move an item to the bottom
- Remove the item
You’re redirected to the edit page, where you can add metadata.
Good to know
- After the video is created, you can’t change the selected media items.
- Captions are included when stitching videos.
- If you delete a media entry after it has been added to a stitched video, it will still remain in the stitched video.
