About
This article explains how to use the Help panel in the Kaltura Video Editor. The Help panel includes keyboard shortcuts and tooltips to support efficient editing.
Access the Help panel
To open the Help panel, select the help icon (?) at the bottom of left-hand toolbar.
The Help panel will slide open on the left side of the editor.
To close it, select the icon again.
What's included
The Help panel includes the following options:
- Go to User Manual – opens the user documentation in a new tab
- Show tooltips – displays tooltips across the editor to explain available features
- Accessibility shortcuts – a list of available keyboard shortcuts, tailored to your operating system and editing tab
Tooltips
When Show tooltips is selected, descriptive tooltips appear over buttons and features in the editor.
Click anywhere on the screen to dismiss the tooltips.
Accessibility shortcuts
The shortcut list updates based on:
- Your operating system – Mac or Windows shortcuts are shown automatically.
- Current tab – shortcuts are contextual. If you're in the Quiz tab, you'll see shortcuts for quiz editing. If you're in the Editor tab, you'll see shortcuts for timeline editing and media trimming.
