Live viewer counter support for webcasting sessions
The live viewer count is now supported for webcasting sessions in On-Prem deployments. When enabled, the number of viewers currently watching the live broadcast appears in the lower-left corner of the player.

Access control profile editor (Beta)
Administrators can now view and edit access control profiles (ACPs) using the new ACP editor.

Security enhancements
Administrators can now configure HTML Purifier and File type restriction in Rich Media CMS.

Deprecated Flash and Silverlight policy files removed
We removed the deprecated crossdomain.xml and clientaccesspolicy.xml cross-domain policy files used by Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight.
Enhanced system monitoring
We expanded monitoring coverage to provide better visibility into system performance and help identify issues more quickly. Monitoring applications now require an administrator Kaltura Session (KS) for access.

The Folders feature lets users organize their My Media into private folders and nested structures.

4K streaming support for VOD
System administrators of OnPrem deployments can now enable VOD transcoding to 4K flavors using h265 codec.

What’s new
Secure live streaming with RTMPS
We have expanded support for RTMPS (Real-Time Messaging Protocol over TLS/SSL) across the On-Prem environment. This ensures that your live broadcasts are encrypted from the point of ingestion, providing a more secure environment for sensitive or high-profile university events.

Rich Media CMS Automation Manager
Administrators can now leverage the Automation Manager within the Rich Media Content Management System (Rich Media CMS). This tool enables administrators to automate workflows and reduce manual operational tasks.

Player V2 to V7 redirection tool
To help you transition to our latest player technology, we’ve introduced a redirection tool. This allows you to route traffic from older V2 player instances to the modern V7 player, ensuring a consistent viewer experience without needing to manually update every embed code.
