The Help panel in Kaltura's video editor provides quick access to documentation, tooltips, and keyboard shortcuts to help you work more efficiently in the video editor.
Access the Help panel
Click the Help icon (?) in the editor navigation bar.

The Help panel opens.
Click the Help icon again to close the panel.
Help panel options
The Help panel includes the following options:
- Go to User Manual – Opens the user documentation in a new tab
- Show tooltips – Displays tooltips throughout the editor to explain available features.
- Accessibility shortcuts – Displays keyboard shortcuts available for the current editing tab.
Show tooltips
When Show tooltips is selected, descriptive tooltips appear over buttons and features in the editor.
Click anywhere on the screen to dismiss the tooltips.
Accessibility shortcuts
The shortcut list updates based on:
- Operating system – Mac or Windows shortcuts are shown automatically.
- Current tab – The available shortcuts depend on the tab you are using. For example, the Quiz tab displays quiz-related shortcuts, while the Editor tab displays timeline and media editing shortcuts.

Use shortcuts to speed up common editing actions like splitting clips, setting in/out points, and adding fade in/out effects.
