What's New in This Release
- New Viewing Layouts - Introducing new viewing layouts, including active speaker view which automatically displays active speakers' videos, as well as the ability to display your own video in a floating window throughout the session. More details in this article.
- Moderation Capabilities - Moderators can now moderate the session directly from the mobile app. Moderators may share their screen, mute and un-mute participants, invite participants on stage, modify participants permissions and even control streaming media on stage. Check this article for more details.
- App Branding - You can now brand the mobile app experience by adding your company logo to the app loading screen to welcome participants upon entering a session. More details in this article.
- Click to Talk - Click to Talk mode of operation is now supported on the mobile app where enabled.
- Redirect URL Support - You can now redirect participants to a URL of your choice upon session end.
- Audio Slides - Audio Slides are now supported by the mobile app where used.

Kaltura Video Conferencing Version: 1.5

What's New in This Release
- Breakout Rooms. Users can now participant in breakout rooms. During breakout rooms session, app user can be assigned to a breakout room by a moderator using web, participate in the breakout session, and move among breakout rooms if such permission was provided. In addition, moderators using the app can see if they were called from a certain breakout room and move among breakout rooms freely.
- Active Speaker. Active speaker view is now available in Gallery mode. By default, when there is no content that is shared in the session, user views the participant who currently speaks on the entire screen, allowing to focus on those who contribute to the session at any given time. Users can still see all those who appear on the stage (are Live) by pagination.

Kaltura Video Conferencing Version: 1.4

What's New in This Release
- Rejoin the Session. User who leaves a session can now rejoin for the 10 minutes after leaving. Rejoining is possible even if the app or the device were turned off.
- Control Permissions. The session participant list is no longer visible when a "View Participant List" permission is disabled in the session or for a specific participant. In addition, when viewing chats or notes permissions are disabled, the applicable tab would be removed from the app.
- Improved UI. We modified the app ribbons and added app warnings and empty state for the notes and chats.
- Audible Recording Notifications. We added a configurable audio announcements to the textual notifications when a session recording starts or upon entrance to a session that is being recorded. Contact your Kaltura rep to enable this feature on your account.
- Cap-smart support. App users can access sessions in cap-smart.newrow rooms.

Kaltura Video Conferencing Version: 1.3
Date Released: November 14, 2021
What's New in This Release
- SSO Login through Deep-Linking.
- Single Sign On (SSO) user login is now available. With the new schema, users can join or launch a session on the Kaltura Video Conferencing App with their SSO user credentials.
- To enter a session with their user, users have to first login to the hosting platform using their mobile web browser, then click on a link to the session.
- Users who don't have the Kaltura Video Conferencing App installed on their mobile device, will be prompted to install it upon clicking the link to the session. Alternatively, users will be able to enter the room web experience using their mobile web browser (not recommended).
- IFrame/ Embed: If the meeting rooms are being opened on your hosting platform in an IFrame or embed, SSO login is currently available only when logging in to the platform, then clicking on a Direct Room Link.
- Limitations and specific use cases:
- KMS GO: Currently meeting rooms are not supported in the KMS Go mobile app. We are working on an integration with KMS GO.
- Kaltura Media Space (KMS) and Kaltura Application Framework (KAF) Integration: Currently meeting rooms are not supported in KMS and KAF via mobile web browser. However, with this release, users who are logged in to KMS or KAF on their mobile web browser and click on a Direct Room Link, are able to enter the session with their SSO credentials. We are currently working on a direct deep-linking from KMS and KAF via mobile web browser.
- Customizable Terms & Conditions. Users can now view and need to approve a customized terms and conditions sheet. This feature applies only to Kaltura Meetings accounts that set and enabled terms and conditions. Contact your sales rep to learn more.
- Improved UI.
