Users can subscribe to channels to receive email notifications when new content is added.
Channel managers can enable subscriptions on their channels so viewers can stay up to date with the latest media.
A channel supports up to 5,000 subscribers. If you expect a larger audience, use user groups to manage subscriptions more effectively.
Before you start
- This feature requires the Channelsubscription module and the Emailnotifications module to be enabled.
- Make sure the Entry was added to channel notification is enabled in the Emailnotifications module. The email message sent for this notification can be customized.
- Channel managers must also enable subscriptions to a channel on the channel details page. See our article Create a channel for information.
Subscribe to a channel
- Go to the desired channel page. You can do this by selecting My Channels from the user menu.
- Click the Subscribe button on the desired channel to subscribe.
The 'Channels' page opens.
If you are already in the channel you can click Subscribe on the channel's main page.
See channels you're subscribed to
- From the user menu, select My Channels.
- At the top of the page, click the filters menu and select Subscribed.
The 'Channels' page opens.
The channels that you're subscribed to display.
Unsubscribe
- Go to the desired channel.
- Click the Unsubscribe button.
A confirmation message displays.
