The Addtoplaylists module lets users create, edit, and delete personal playlists and add media to playlists.
Playlists are static lists of media that users can access in Content Hubs or legacy Video Portal. For users to view media in a playlist, the media must be unlisted or published to a category or channel they have permission to view.
The Addtoplaylists module is supported only in Content Hubs and legacy Video Portal.
Configure
1. Go to your Configuration Management console, locate the Addtoplaylists module in the left panel, then select it. You can also navigate to it directly using a link: https://{your_site_URL}/admin/config/tab/addtoplaylists .
The Addtoplaylists page displays.
2. Configure the following:
enabled - Set to 'Yes' to enable the module and display the Add to playlist option to users.
allowCreation - When allowCreation is to Yes, once users click Add to playlist, in addition to being able to add the media to a playlist, they also have the option of creating a new playlist, as shown in the image below:
ownerOnly - Set to 'Yes' to allow users to add only media they own to playlists.
AppendTo - Choose where new entries are placed when they're added to an existing playlist:
- Append to top - Adds new entries to the top of the playlist.
- Append to bottom - Adds new entries to the bottom of the playlist. This is the default.
3. Click Save to save your configuration settings.
