Upload and manage audio tracks in Content Hubs


About

You can upload and manage alternative audio tracks for media that you own or have permission to edit. These can include dubbed or alternate-language audio and recorded audio descriptions (AD).

Uploaded audio tracks are available to viewers through the player's audio selector.

This feature requires the following to be enabled:

Who can use this

  • Media owners
  • Co-editors (depending on permissions)

Access the Accessibility tab

  1. Select My Media from the user menu.
  2. The My Media page displays.

  3. Click the three dots to the right of the desired media and select Edit.
  4. Alternatively, you can access the edit page from the media page by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Edit.

    The edit page opens on the Details tab by default, with a left-hand navigation.

  5. In the left navigation, click the Accessibility tab to display the Accessibility page.

Upload an audio description file 

Audio description tracks must be in MP4 format.

  1. In the Audio tracks section, click Upload and select Audio Description (AD).
  2. The Audio Description (AD) window opens.

  3. Click Upload and select an MP4 file from your device.
  4. Select the appropriate language from the Language dropdown.

4. Click Add.

The audio description track appears in the Available audio tracks assets section and is automatically available in the player's audio selector.

To upload another file, click Upload again and repeat these steps.

Upload a dubbing or language track

  1. In the Audio tracks section, click Upload and select Dubbing / language track.
  2. The Multi-audio streaming window displays.

  3. Click Upload and select an MP4 file from your device.
  4. Select the appropriate language from the Language dropdown.
  5. Click Add.

Manage audio tracks

Uploaded audio tracks are listed under Available audio tracks assets.

Each track has an icon that identifies its type, so you can distinguish between audio description and dubbing or language tracks.

Click the three dots on an audio track to access its management options.

Download an audio track

  1. Click the three dots on the audio track you want to download.
  2. Select Download.
  3. The audio track downloads to your device.

Delete an audio track

  1. Click the three dots on the audio track you want to delete.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. A confirmation message displays.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.
