The steps to start creating a video quiz and open the quiz editor vary depending on the Kaltura application you're using.
This article explains how to start creating a video quiz in Content Hubs, the legacy Video Portal, legacy LMS Video, LMS Rich Media Extensions, and the Rich Media CMS.
Once you are in the quiz editor, see Configure quiz settings to customize quiz details, scoring, and participant experience options.
Content Hubs
- Click the +Create button and select Video Quiz.
- Click Select next to the item you want to use for your quiz. (You can use the search field and filters to quickly find the media item you need.)
The Select media page displays.
You can click the eye icon to preview the media - press play to watch, then click Select or Close to exit the preview panel.
If you want to upload a new media item for the quiz, click Upload at the top right. See Upload media for instructions if needed.
You can create or modify a quiz from VOD, audio, and YouTube entries, but not from Live entries or images.
Once you click Select, the quiz editor launches.
Legacy Video Portal
- Click the +Add New menu and select Video Quiz.
- Click Select next to the media entry you want to use for your quiz.
The Editor / Media Selection page displays.
If you want to upload a new media item, click +Upload Media at the top right (see Upload media for instructions).
You can create a quiz from video, audio, and YouTube entries, but not from images or Live entries.
The quiz editor launches.
LMS Rich Media Extensions
- Go to My Media.
- Click the +Create button and select Video Quiz.
- Click Select next to the item you want to use for your quiz. (You can use the search field and filters to quickly find the media item you need.)

On the Quizzes page, click Add Quiz.
The quiz editor opens.
