Registration Form Editor


About

Use the registration Form Editor to create your branding or style for the registration form. The editor is linked and accessible from the Basesiteregistration module.

In the basesiteregistration module, click Open Registration Form Editor.

Configure

The Registration Form Editor displays.

Type the text you want to appear on your registration form as follows:

  • Form Title 
  • Title Text (Optional)
  • Form Title on Edit Page
  • Edit Title Text (Optional)

To add an additional section to the form, click +Add section:

A new section displays.

Complete the following fields:

  • Section Title
  • Section Order
  • Check the appropriate boxes:
    • Do not show when editing in registration / edit
    • Do not show when editing in invitation flow 
    • Do not show on SSO registration form

Click + add field to add fields to your new section:

Complete the following:

Field order in section - type the appropriate value

Field Type - Choose a type from the drop-down menu:

  • Generic Field
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Title
  • Company
  • Country
  • State
  • City
  • Zip
  • Description
  • Language
  • Gender
  • User role
  • Industry
  • Job Level
  • UTM Source
  • UTM Medium
  • UTM Campaign

Field UI - Choose the type of field UI from the drop-down menu:

  • Open text
  • Instruction
  • Dropdown
  • Checkbox
  • Radio
  • Email
  • Multi-tag selection
  • Multi-tag selection - User tags
  • Set-up Password
  • Registration Code
  • Hidden Data
  • Attendance Type

ID - default is name of field type

Display Name - type name if you want to change the default text

Make field mandatory - check or uncheck 

  • Text to show when mandatory field is missing (optional)

Marketo Reference ID (optional)

Placeholder text (optional)

Check the following boxes as appropriate:

  • Disallow editing value in registration / edit 
  • Allow editing on event platform manager
  • Do not show when editing in registration / edit
  • Do not show on main registration page
  • Disallow editing value in invitation flow
  • Disallow editing value on SSO registration form
  • Do not show on SSO registration form

Show field only when another field has a specific value:

  • Field ID
  • Field Value

Default Values - click + add default value 

Complete as follows:

  • default Value
  • depend on field
  • depend on value

Allow inserting values for this field via url parameters - check box as desired

Group mapping - click + add mapping 

Complete as follows:

  • Field Value
  • Group ID

To add another section, simply click +Add section, and repeat the process as shown above.

When you have finished editing the form, click Submit.

After clicking submit, you are redirected back to the basesiteregistration module.
