About
Real-time live transcription displays spoken content as rolling, real-time text during a Kaltura Room session. Participants can follow the conversation as it happens, while the transcript is saved automatically to the session entry for later use as captions.
Moderators/hosts can start, stop, and restart transcription at any time during a session.
Live transcription is enabled at the account level by Kaltura. To have this feature enabled on your account, contact your Kaltura representative.

Transcript availability after the session
At the end of the session, the transcript is saved automatically to the session entry as a transcription file. The file can be used as captions during replay.
All transcription segments from the same session, including segments created after stopping and restarting, are appended to one continuous transcription file.
To display the saved transcript as an attachment on the session entry, you must enable and configure the Attachments module. Be sure to set showOnlyAttachmentType to No in order to show the transcript files in the attachments tab.
