Real-time live transcription displays real-time captions during a Kaltura Room session so you can follow along as people speak. When a moderator/host starts transcription, captions appear as an on-screen overlay; you can use the CC control in the room toolbar to show or hide captions on your own screen at any time.
If you do not see the CC control in the room toolbar, your Kaltura Room configuration may not include this feature.
Show or hide the transcript
- Select the CC icon to the right of the gear icon.
- Select the CC icon again to toggle the transcript visibility.
- A blue CC icon indicates that transcription is shown.
- A gray CC icon indicates that transcription is hidden.
Hiding the transcript affects only your view. The setting remains in effect for the rest of the current session and resets when you join a new session.
