About
Capture is a simple desktop app that lets you record videos from your computer.
- Kaltura Capture isn’t available in app stores. You can only download it from your institution’s LMS or Content Hubs / legacy Video Portal. If you can’t find or download the app, contact your institution’s IT department or faculty support team.
- Capture isn’t currently supported on mobile devices, tablets, or Chromebooks.
Before getting started, make sure you have:
- A Kaltura account
- Access to your institution’s Content Hubs / legacy Video Portal or LMS integration
Platform-specific setup tips:
- Mac users: You’ll need to enable app privacy settings. For help, see Install Capture for Mac.
- Windows users: If you see error messages, you may need to enable permissions. For help, see Install Capture for Windows.
Hardware and software requirements
Below are the minimum hardware and software requirements for installing and using Capture. For additional details, please consult your Kaltura representative.
