Hotspots add interactive information to media playback. You can use hotspots to display additional content and link viewers to an external URL or a specific timestamp in the video.
- To display hotspots on media, the Hotspot plugin must also be enabled.
- If your site uses v2 players, they must be upgraded to the v7 player before you can enable the Hotspots module.
- Entrydesign module players must also be updated to v7.
If your instance contains players that don't meet the minimum requirements, an alert displays the relevant UIConf IDs. You can only save the Hotspots module configuration after upgrading the legacy players.
Configure
- Go to your Configuration Management console and click on the Hotspots module. You can also navigate to it directly using a link: https://{your_site_URL}/admin/config/tab/hotspots.
- Set enabled to 'Yes' to enable the module.
- Click Save.
The Hotspots page displays.
