About
The Eventplatformcore module is the core module for Events.
After you enable the module, all entitlements on your site work per group, instead of per user.
Configure the module
- Go to your Configuration Management console, locate the Eventplatformcore module in the left panel, then select it. You can also navigate directly using a link:
https://{your_site_url}/admin/config/tab/eventplatformcore - Configure the following:
- enabled - Set to Yes to enable the module.
-
cacheGroups - Enter the user groups that see different content on your site, separated by commas, for example
Press,Executives. A press group, for example, might have access to sessions that other attendees can't see. Your site uses these groups to keep a separate version of its pages for each audience. You can only enter groups that already exist. If you haven't created them yet, create them on the Manage Groups page first.
Entering a group here doesn't give it access to any content. To control what each group can see, set up the group's entitlements on the channels and categories it should have access to.
- attendeesUserGroup - Enter the group that users are added to automatically when they log in through Auth Broker.
- includeEmptyGroupInCacheGroups - Set to Yes to keep one cache group empty for attendees who don't belong to a group.
- colorScheme - Select Light or Dark for your event site.
- showMediaActionsMenu - Select Yes to show the Actions menu on the media page, or No to hide it. The setting hides the menu for all users, including admins. Hiding the menu doesn't block editing. Users can still go to the edit media page and the analytics page through these links:
https://{your_site_url}/edit/{EntryID}https://{your_site_url}/userreports/entry/analytics?object_id={EntryID}&tab=VideoAnalytics
- showChannelActionsMenu - Select Yes to show the Actions menu on the channel page, or No to hide it. Hiding the menu doesn't block editing. Users can still go to the edit channel page and the analytics page through these links:
https://{your_site_url}/channels/edit/t/{ChannelID}https://{your_site_url}/userreports/analytics?object_id={ChannelID}&tab=Dashboard
- showAddToChannel - Select Yes to show the Add to channel button on the channel page, or No to hide it. The button appears only for users who can add media to the channel, such as channel owners, managers, and contributors. Hiding it doesn't change their permissions.
- Select Save.
The Eventplatformcore page displays.
