This article explains how to configure seek behavior in the player, allowing you to control how viewers navigate during playback. When seek is enabled (i.e., Prevent seek is disabled), you can define the skip interval.
Access the player settings
- Log in to your KMC and click the Studio tab.
- Click the player you want to edit from the list (or use the search bar in the top right).

The Player Studio page displays.

Enable seek functionality
1. In the Playback Options section, find Seek increments and click the gear icon to enable the setting.

- To select from one of two preset seek increments, click to select the first option, then click the down arrow and choose your desired increment - 5 or 10 (default). The skip buttons will display the corresponding number (5 or 10) to indicate the amount of time the user can skip.
- To set your own custom seek increment, click to select "Custom seek", then type your desired increment. The skip buttons are displayed without a number, even though skipping is still enabled.
2. Click Save at the top right of the settings page.
