Configure a pre-recorded video source for a live stream in Content Hubs

A video source lets you use prerecorded content as the source for a live stream.

This feature is available for supported live stream types that use prerecorded video sources.

If you don't see the Video source section, contact your administrator for more information about enabling this feature.

Who can use this

  • Media owners
  • Co-editors

Access the Streaming tab

  1. From the user menu, select My Media
  2. The 'My Media' page displays.

  3. Click the three dots to the right of the desired media and select Edit.
  4. The edit page opens on the Details tab by default.

  5. In the left navigation, click Streaming tab to display the 'Streaming' page.

Upload a new video source

In the Video source section, click Edit video to open the menu.

Upload from your computer

  1. In the Video source section, select Upload new video.
  2. Choose the file from your computer.
  3. The upload begins immediately.

When the upload completes successfully, the video source is updated automatically.

Select from My Media

  1. In the Video source section, click Select from My Media.
  2. The media selection window opens.

    The media selection window displays the following:

  • video entries only
  • media you own or that is group-owned
  • columns for:
    • Name and thumbnail
    • ID
    • Tags
    • Creation date

2. Locate the desired video and click Select.

The selected media item is assigned as the video source.

Replace a video source

  1. Click Edit video.
  2. Select one of the following options:
  • Upload new video
  • Select from My Media

3. Complete the selected workflow as described above.

The existing video source is replaced automatically.
