Add Genie to specific galleries in Content Hubs

Gallery managers can enable Genie in their galleries to let users ask questions and discover content based on that gallery’s media.

If Agentic Avatars are enabled for your Genie configuration, users can also start a live avatar conversation within the gallery’s Genie experience.

To enable Agentic Avatars for your Genie configuration, contact your Kaltura representative.

Access the gallery settings

  1. In your Video Portal, select the gallery you want to manage from the navigation bar.
  2. The gallery page displays.

  3. On the gallery page, click the Actions menu at the far right and choose Configure.
  4. The edit page opens on the Details tab by default.

Enable Genie 

  1. In the gallery edit page, click the Settings & layout tab.
  2. Toggle on Genie (it may already be enabled by default, depending on your admin’s setup).

Display Genie in the gallery

  1. In the Visible sections area, select the Genie checkbox.
  2. (Optional) In the Default section dropdown, select Genie to open the gallery on the Ask anything experience by default.
  3. Click Save.

How Genie appears in a gallery

When Genie is enabled:

  • An Ask anything experience appears in the gallery
  • Users can ask questions based on content within that gallery

If Agentic Avatars are enabled, users can also start a live avatar conversation within this experience.
