About
The Audio Description option allows for choosing between Standard and Extended audio description when both are available for one same language. The Audio Description displays choices depending on the language chosen in the Audio (language) selector.
Before you begin
- Extended audio description must be enabled by your administrator using the Extended Audio Description (EAD) plugin in the Kaltura player.
- Extended audio description uses your browser’s speech synthesis feature and may not be supported in all browsers or on mobile devices.
- Depending on your configuration, Audio and Audio Description options may be available either in the player controls bar and/or in the settings (gear) menu. If your administrator has hidden the Audio button and/or Audio Description button from the player control bar, these options will still be available through the settings (gear) menu.
