This article explains how to monitor Lecture Capture resources and recordings.

The monitoring dashboard lets admins view the status of their campus-wide Lecture Capture installation.

The monitoring dashboard lists all resources, with an expand option for each one.

The dashboard includes:

Resource Name: Each installation has a resource name, also used for scheduling recordings when scheduling is enabled. For more information, see Configure a Lecture Capture resource name.
Online/Offline: When a resource isn't connected to the internet, it appears as offline, along with the last time it was seen online. A resource must be online to report status for monitoring.
Recording/Idle: When a resource is recording, it appears as Recording, with a timer showing how long it's been recording. During a scheduled recording, the timer shows the remaining recording time.
Live: When a resource is live broadcasting in addition to recording, it appears as Live, with a link to the live entry page. The live indicator is red while broadcasting.
Status: Shows whether there are errors or notifications, or whether the status is OK. If an error occurs, it appears with a timestamp. The error status shows resources deleted in the past three months; earlier deletions don't appear.
Upload Service: Shows the status of the service that uploads recording files to Kaltura. If the status is offline, it shows a timestamp of the last time the service reported itself online.
Next Scheduled Event: Shows the next scheduled event for this resource. This column appears only when the scheduling module is enabled and the user has permission to schedule events.
