Lecture Capture automatically detects PowerPoint slides displayed in Slide Show mode during a recording. Each slide is captured as an image and added as a chapter at the corresponding time stamp.

Viewers can use the chapters to jump to a specific slide or search for text in the slides.

Record PowerPoint slides

1. Start recording.
2. Open the PowerPoint presentation in Slide Show mode before or during the recording, and present your slides.

   

   Each slide you present creates a chapter at the corresponding time stamp in the recording. Slides shown while the recording is paused aren’t uploaded.

3. End the recording.

When the recording is complete, the slides are uploaded as images and added as chapters at their corresponding time stamps.

PowerPoint recording limitations

• If you use multiple screens, Lecture Capture captures slides only from the screen being recorded.
• If PowerPoint is open in Protected Mode, Lecture Capture can’t capture the slides. The following message appears: PowerPoint is running in protected mode - no slides will be captured. Click Enable Editing and create an identical PowerPoint presentation to use with Lecture Capture.
• PowerPoint Viewer isn’t supported.

View and edit recorded slides

Recorded slides appear as chapters in the player.

• Click a chapter to jump to the point in the recording where the slide was presented.
• Use the search box to search for specific words in the slides.

Use slides during a live broadcast

Lecture Capture streams only the primary input during a live broadcast. If a PowerPoint presentation is in Slide Show mode, the slides are converted to images and broadcast alongside the primary input, giving viewers a dual-stream experience.
