Let's Practice

First, login to your MediaSpace or LMS (If you are using the Kaltura integration) account.

Create a New Event


  1. Click on "Add new" from the Kaltura menu, and select "Webcasting Event".
  2. Fill in the relevant information for the event.
  3. Click on the "Create Event" to complete the task.

How to Generate an .ics Calendar file


  1. Go to the Webcasting event page.
  2. Click on the "Add to Calendar" button.
  3. A .ics file will be automatically downloaded to your computer.

How to Download a XML File For an External Encoder


  1. Go to the Webcasting event page and click on the "Edit" button.
  2. Go to the "Live Stream Details" tab
  3. Click on the "Export XLM for FMLE" button.
  4.  A .XL file will be automatically downloaded to your computer.

How to Enable the Webcasting Homepage


  1. Go to the MediaSpace admin page, locate the "Kwebcast" module.
  2. Enable the "EnableHomepagePreview ".
  3. Save the changes.
  4. To see the page, add the following "/webcasts" to your MediaSpace URL.

Enable the Q&A Webcast Module


  1. Go to the MediaSpace admin page, locate the "Kwebcast " module.
  2. Enable the "EnableQnA ".
  3.  Click Save.
