Introduction to the Kaltura Video Plugin for WordPress

Kaltura’s All in One WordPress Video Plugin is a standard WordPress Plugin, that adds Kaltura’s powerful video capabilities into WordPress.

With the plugin activated, WordPress authors and contributors can add videos to the posts; WordPress administrators can add a recent videos sidebar widget and can allow video comments by WordPress subscribers and guests.

Prerequisites and System Requirements 

To activate the Kaltura Video Plugin for Wordpress, please contact your Kaltura representative or support.

To set up the Kaltura Video Plugin for Wordpress you will need the following:  

1. A Kaltura account.
2. A Kaltura MediaSpace instance or access to any of the Kaltura powered LMSs. For Example: 

In addition, the Kaltura player version must be 2.27 and up.

To Enable the Kaltura Wordpress Module

1. In the MediaSpace Configuration Management window, select  and set enabled to ‘Yes’.

Workflow:

1. Install and Activate the Plugin
2. Configure the Plugin
3. Add Media to a Post
4. Add Video Comments
5. Manage Existing Media
6. Create Video Posts in Bulk from your KMC Content

Installing and Activating the Plugin

You can install or upgrade the plugin from a previous version and then add or activate the Recent Videos Sidebar Widget.

    To install the plugin for the first time

1. Download and extract the plugin zip file to your WordPress server.
2. Paste the 'all-in-one-video-pack' directory under the '/wp-content/plugins/' directory.
3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in the WordPress admin application.
   The following message is displayed:
   
4. Click the link to get a Kaltura Partner ID or to connect the Plugin to an existing Partner ID.
5. Fill in All in One Video Package Installation form. 
   
   
   • If you do not have a Kaltura Partner ID, fill in the All in One video Package installation Form.
   • If you have a Kaltura Partner ID, click “Click here if you already have a partner ID” and fill the form with your Kaltura credentials.
   • If you are installing the plugin on a WordPress MultiSite network (from the Network Admin interface), fill in the following form with your Kaltura credentials:
6. After the Plugin is connected to a Kaltura Partner ID, go to Settings > All in One Video Pack to setup the plugin.
