About
Use the CPE tracker capability to display a session progress bar and status light during live sessions. These indicators help users track their progress and confirm that their viewing data is being captured correctly.
The appearance of the progress bar depends on how it is configured in the player.
Setup
To learn how to set up the CPE tracker on the player, see Enable CPE tracker in the player.
Features
Status light
If enabled, a status indicator appears on the player to show whether viewing data is being sent successfully:
- Green light – The player is sending viewing data successfully.
- Red light – The player is having issues sending viewing data.
When the light turns red, a Need help? message appears with a link defined in the Help link URL setting.
Red light and example help message Success message
When the tracker is functioning correctly, the message “Collecting your progress” appears alongside the green status indicator (if enabled).
Progress bar
Shows how much of the session has been watched and what’s left, based on the scheduled start and end time.
If a user joins mid-session, the bar reflects how much time remains.
The display depends on how it is configured in the player:
- Always visible – The progress bar is always shown.
- Visible on hover – The progress bar appears only when hovering over the player.
- Hidden – The progress bar is not displayed, and users won’t see their session progress during playback.
