Configure restream destinations in Content Hubs

Restreaming lets you broadcast a live stream to additional streaming platforms simultaneously.

From the Restream destinations section in the Streaming tab, you can add, edit, and remove RTMP destinations for a live stream.

This feature is commonly used with external broadcast Live Studio sessions and other RTMP-based live workflows. For more information, see:

Who can use this

  • Media owners

Access the Streaming tab

  1. From the user menu, select My Media
  2. The 'My Media' page displays.

  3. Click the three dots to the right of the desired media and select Edit.
  4. The edit page opens on the Details tab by default.

  5. In the left navigation, click Streaming tab to display the Streaming page.

Add a restream destination

  1. In the Restream destinations section, click +Add destination.
  2. The 'Add destination' window opens.

  3. Complete the following fields:
  • System name - Enter a unique name for the restream destination.
  • Primary RTMP URL - Enter the primary RTMP or RTMPS endpoint URL provided by the streaming platform.
  • Secondary RTMP URL - Optionally, enter a secondary RTMP or RTMPS endpoint URL provided by the streaming platform.
  • Destination stream key - Enter the stream key provided by the streaming platform.

3. Click Save.

The destination is added to the destinations list.

When the live stream starts, the broadcast is sent to all configured restream destinations automatically.

Edit a restream destination

  1. In the Restream destinations list, click the pencil icon next to the desired destination.
  2. The 'Edit destination' window opens.

  3. Update the desired fields.
  4. Click Save.

Remove a restream destination

  1. In the Restream destinations list, click the X icon next to the desired destination.
  2. A confirmation message displays.

  3. Click Delete to continue.
