The AddFromUrl module lets users import media into My Media using a direct URL instead of uploading a file from their computer.
Once enabled, users can import video, audio, and image files from publicly accessible URLs. Kaltura automatically detects the file type and creates the appropriate media entry.
This module is available in both Video Portal and LMS Video and depends on the Theming module.
Configure
- Go to your Configuration Management console and click on the Addfromurl module. You can also navigate to it directly using a link: https://{your_site_URL}/admin/config/tab/addfromurl.
- Set enabled to 'Yes' to enable the module.
- Click Save.
The 'Addfromurl' page displays.
When enabled, users can access the Import from URL option from the +Create menu.
