When you schedule a live Lecture Capture event, a live entry is created in My Media. You can publish it to a course or channel, or embed it on a website. This article explains how the live entry relates to the calendar event and the resulting recordings.
Find and share the live entry
Find the live entry in My Media. You can share it with the relevant course or channel, or embed it in your LMS, CMS, or website.
Understand group ownership
A live entry can show a group as its owner. Users who have access to the shared calendar are placed in that group so they can view and edit the entries associated with its scheduled events.
Event organizers can't delete these group-owned live entries from My Media. This helps prevent accidental deletion of an entry used by a recurring event.
To delete a live entry, first change its media owner to your user name. For instructions, see Transfer media you own to someone else in Content Hubs.
Access the recording after a live session
Lecture Capture records the session locally while it broadcasts. After the session ends, the recording is uploaded as a separate entry from the live entry.
When the recording becomes available, viewers who use the live entry are redirected to the recording. You don't need to share a new link.
Understand recurring live events
All sessions in a recurring event use the same live entry. Each session produces a separate recording entry. After a live session ends, viewers are redirected to the latest available recording.
