Access stream health analytics and the live player preview
In the Kaltura webcast studio, during a live stream, click the Review stream button.
The quality-of-service dashboard displays on the right panel showing stream health analytics and the player preview.
Preview of live player
The preview of the player reflects the actual user experience. If the Dual screen plug-in is enabled on the live session, it is also shown here on the preview.
Real-time metrics on stream health
Real-time metrics displayed on the dashboard include the following:
Streaming health - Composite health indicator with color-coded status
Good (green dot) = Stream is healthy
Fair (yellow dot) = Viewers may be experiencing minor issues
Poor (red dot) = Potentially serious viewing issues
N/A (gray dot) = Kaltura is not receiving data
Engagement rate - Percentage of viewers who watch in full screen or with the focus on the tab and sound on (derived from the Chat and Collaboration widget) and trend displayed
Stream status - Live or offline
Redundancy - ON or OFF
Buffering - Percentage and trend is displayed
Bitrate - Number and trend is displayed
Health monitor - Includes monitoring of Recording, DVR, and Transcoding
Health history - Displays the history of the live dashboard
Exit stream health analytics and the live player preview
To exit the quality-of-service dashboard, simply click the arrow to the left of Review stream.
