Administrators can allow users to generate a secure direct mp4 link to Kaltura content. The following sections outline user capabilities.
This module is for both Content Hubs and legacy Video Portal users.
For technical support, contact Kaltura Customer Care. For all other inquiries, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
Share Direct Media Link
If your admin has enabled and configured the sharedirectmedialink module, capability is displayed for Content Hub users as part of the three dots actions menu on the entry page, and for legacy Video Portal users as an additional tab under "Share", added to the entry page.
Content Hubs users:
- From the three dots actions menu, choose the Share Direct Media Link option.
The Share Direct Media Link screen displays.
- Click the Copy button to copy the URL.
Legacy Video Portal users:
- Click on the Share Direct Media Link tab under "Share".
- Select to copy the URL.
