As a speaker, you can participate in conversations and interactions during a live session and communicate with moderators and other speakers. The tools available depend on your speaker role, session type, assigned permissions, and account configuration.
This article introduces the main tools available to speakers and helps you find the right workflow.
Participate in conversations and interactions
Depending on your role and session configuration, you can use:
- Q&A – View and respond to participant questions.
- Chat – Chat with participants during the session.
- Feed – View pinned items and respond to interactions.
- Backchannel – Chat privately with moderators and other speakers.
- Updates – View notifications sent during the session.
Stay up to date
Activity indicators let you know when there's new activity in tabs you're not currently viewing.

View participants
When available, use the Participants tab to see who's in the session and view participant roles. When you're on stage, you can also manage your microphone.
