You may enable Start playback muted to allow the media to start in mute mode when autoplay playback begins. 

For the viewer, a muted indicator with an Unmute label appears in the top-left corner of the player, then minimizes to a muted indicator only. The viewer can hover over the muted indicator at any time to reveal the Unmute option and turn on sound. 

You can configure the period of time both muted indicators remain visible to the viewer and whether or not the Unmute button is visible to the viewer.

Access the player settings

1. Log in to your KMC and click the Studio tab. 



The Player Studio page displays. 

2. Click the player you want to edit from the list (or use the search bar in the top right).

Configure

1. In the Playback options section find Start playback muted and click the toggle to enable the setting.

2. Configure Display duration of the following: 

• Expanded muted button - The muted indicator in the top-left corner of the player displays for as long as you set. (Default is 3 seconds)  
• Minimized muted button - The minimized muted indicator displays for as long as you set. (Default is 0 seconds)

  Please note - Both display durations start when the video starts. We recommend setting the minimized value greater than the expanded value. 

3. Decide whether or not to make the Unmute button visible to the viewer.

4. Click Save at the top right of the settings page.
