Use the Backchannel tab (padlock icon) to chat privately with moderators and other speakers during a session. Backchannel messages are only visible to moderators and speakers in that session.

You can send messages, like and reply to messages, and delete your own messages.

When no messages have been posted, the Backchannel tab appears as follows:

Send and manage messages

You can:

• Enter a message in the Write your message field to chat with moderators and other speakers.
• Hover over a message and click the Like icon to like it.
• Hover over a message and click the Reply icon to reply to it.
• Hover over one of your own messages and click the trash icon to delete it.

The Moderator/Speaker-only message at the bottom of the Backchannel tab indicates that messages are only visible to moderators and speakers.
