Moderators and speakers can use Backchannel to communicate privately with each other during a session. Backchannel messages aren't visible to participants.
Backchannel is only available to users who have been added to the session as moderators or speakers.
Open Backchannel
- On the session page, click Live stage in the right navigation.
- Click the Backchannel (padlock) icon.
If there are no messages yet, a welcome message displays.
Once moderators or speakers start chatting, their messages appear in the Backchannel.
A message at the bottom of the Backchannel reminds you that only moderators and speakers can see the conversation.
Send and manage messages
Enter your message in the Write your message field to send a message to the other moderators and speakers.
You can also:
- Hover over a message and click the Like icon to like it.
- Hover over a message from another moderator or speaker and click the Reply icon to reply to it.
- Hover over one of your own messages and click the Trashcan icon to delete it.
