Thumbnails module

About

The Thumbnails module enables users to customize and manage thumbnails for their videos. By default, Kaltura generates a thumbnail at the three-second mark, but with the thumbnail settings, users can set, adjust, and refine thumbnails to best suit their content. Once the Thumbnails module is enabled, a Thumbnails tab will appear on the video’s Edit page.

Configure

1. Go to your KMS Configuration Management console, and navigate to the History module. You can also navigate directly using a link: https://{your_KMS_URL}/admin/config/tab/thumbnails.

The thumbnails page displays.

2. Configure the following:

enabled - Set to 'Yes' to enable the module.

extensionWhitelist - Define the allowed extensions, for example: jpg, png, jpeg, gif (one item per extension). To add more extensions, click +Add"extensionWhitelist".

3. Click Save.
