Overview
These release notes pertain to the Kaltura Video App integration with D2L via LTI, released on May 17, 2022.
This is a part of the Kaltura Application Framework (KAF) release of version 5.107.63x.
What's New
This version introduces the following new item:
- Support for LTI v1.3 - LTI 1.3 provides improved integration and security. Kaltura now supports the implementation of the Kaltura Video Building Block for Brightspace using LTI 1.3. We recommend that all organizations performing new implementations of the Video Extension for Brightspace use LTI 1.3. The implementation can be done by a Brightspace account admin following this guide: Kaltura Video Extension for Brightspace by D2L Deployment Guide - LTI 1.3.

Known Limitations:
Brightspace does not support launching LTI 1.1 embedded videos using LTI 1.3. If you are upgrading your Kaltura Video Extension for Brightspace from LTI 1.1, you must continue supporting the existing embed codes using LTI 1.1 with the existing Kaltura Application Framework (KAF) integration and install a new KAF supporting LTI 1.3 for all new embeds.
