This article explains how to allow Capture to access your camera and microphone on macOS.
You might need to enable these permissions if Capture can't detect your camera or microphone, or if you receive recording-related error messages.
Allow camera and microphone access
The first time you open Capture, macOS prompts you to allow access to your camera and microphone.
Click OK.
Capture can now access your camera and microphone.
Enable permissions manually
If you didn't grant permission when prompted, you can enable access manually.
Enable camera access
- Open System Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security.
- Select Camera.
- Make sure KalturaCapture is enabled.
Enable microphone access
- Open System Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security.
- Select Microphone.
- Make sure KalturaCapture is enabled.
If Capture is running, quit and reopen the application after changing these settings.
