About
Genie builds its answers using your organization’s verified videos and documents. This article explains how to view, identify, and interact with the sources used in a response.
Where to find sources
Under each answer, whether flashcard or text, Genie displays a Sources section. This includes:
- Thumbnails for each video or document used
- The entry title, and if available, additional info (like season/episode or document type)
- A plus (+) icon if more sources were used than fit in the visible list
Sources are shown per answer; in threaded conversations, each answer has its own Sources section.
Displaying sources is optional and determined by the system. You may not see this section for every answer.
Supported source types
Genie supports the following:
- Video entries - Used with spoken dialogue or OCR (on-screen text)
- Document entries - Including PDFs, PowerPoint files (PPTX), and Word documents (DOCX)
Interact with sources
Click any source tile to open the original file or video in a new tab. When available:
- Videos open at the correct timestamp
- Documents open at the relevant slide or page
- OCR images shown in flashcards represent captured on-screen text
Genie respects your organization's permissions and users only see and access content they’re allowed to view. If a source is missing or inaccessible, it won’t appear in the list.
