Technology Dashboard KMC

The Technology dashboard provides you with data on the technology that is used by your users, so you can know what devices, browsers and software is most used in your account. The dashboard can be configured to present different time periods. To learn more see Working with the Technology Dashboard.

The Technology dashboard contains the following sections:

Devices Overview

The devices overview shows you the distribution of devices by specific metrics. For example, you can use the dashboard to answer questions like "what percentage of plays came from each device?".

Available metrics for analysis:

  • Plays
  • Unique viewers - number of authenticated viewers, all anonymous viewers will be counted as 1 viewer.
  • Minutes viewed
  • Average minutes viewed

A trend indication shows the change from the previous time period. Hover the mouse over the percent of change to see the actual metrics. You can also filter the entire Technology dashboard by device, by selecting one or more check boxes next to the devices.

Top Browsers

Explore which browsers were used to generate the most number of plays in the selected time frame. You can also sort by unique viewers or number of minutes viewed.

For each browser the following metrics are available:

  • Plays
  • Plays distribution - number of plays divided by total number of plays
  • Play trend - comparison of change in number of plays to the previous period. On hover you can see additional details.
  • Unique viewers - number of authenticated viewers, all anonymous viewers will be counted as a single viewer.
  • Minutes viewed

By selecting a specific browser, you can drill down and see a similar analysis for all versions of the selected browser.

  

You can also filter the top browser by devices in the top right corner.

Top Operating Systems

Explore which operating systems were used to generate the most number of plays in the selected time frame. You can also sort by unique viewers or number of minutes viewed.

For each operating system the following metrics are available:

  • Plays
  • Plays distribution - number of plays divided by total number of plays
  • Play trend - comparison of change in number of plays to the previous period. On hover you can see additional details.
  • Unique viewers - number of authenticated viewers, all anonymous viewers will be counted as 1 viewer.
  • Minutes viewed

By selecting a specific operating system, you can drill down and see a similar analysis for all versions of the selected operating system.

 

You can also filter the top operating systems by devices in the top right corner.
