The following topics are described:

Overview of the Kaltura Video Editing Tools

Kaltura Video Editing Tools are a one stop shop for Timeline editing for Kaltura MediaSpace (KMS)  and Kaltura Application Framework (KAF) applications.

Kaltura Video Editing Tools provide a better user experience for the Timeline features and concentrates the Timeline editing features into a single folder.

The Kaltura Video Editing Tools will be replacing the previous Clip button and Trim tab.

The KMS/KAF Editor Module attributes replace the KMS and KAF Clipper Module attributes and consolidate the keaPlayerId value from the KMS Widget module.

The Editor Module is enabled for all new users. For existing users, the Editor Module is configured as per their current Clipper Module configuration.

When the "Editor" Module is accessed from the KMS/KAF admin for the first time (before saving the configuration), the following parameter’s values are copied from the Clipper Module to the Editor Module:

  • showClipAttribution - Should a clipped entry page contain an attribution to the original entry.
  • clipperprofileID - What is the uiConf ID of the Clipper App.
  • Clipper Module - enabled Yes or No.
