Kaltura History Module - Administrator's Guide

About the KMS/KAF History Module

The ‘My History’ page for KMS and KAF is managed by KMS and KAF system administrators in the Admin area accessed from https://{your_KMS_URL}/admin/config/tab/history (for example, https://videos.mediaspace.kaltura.com/admin/config/tab/history).

For the History user guide, please see this page.

When enabled, the History Module is used to find videos that were recently viewed. The My History page is accessible from the user login drop down menu or through https://{your_KMS_URL}/history. Administrators can control the watch history or disable this module. Users can delete individual items or delete their entire history. The History module is also used to enable the resume playback feature displaying the progress bar below the video.

The resume playback feature allows users to watch videos across applications and pick up where they last left off viewing. Users can start watching a video on their desktop and continue watching from the same point they left off on their mobile devices. (Login/logout or clear browser cookies does not affect continuous viewing via the resume playback feature.)
