The Kaltura Contributor Wizard (KCW) is a standalone GUI widget that enables content administrators and/or web site end-users to conveniently upload and use video, image and audio media files.
The wizard supports the following media uploading scenarios:

  • Uploading single/multiple media-file/s using desktop browser selection.
  • Uploading media directly from sound and audio devices (Webcam and Microphone).
  • Importing media from external media sources (e.g. MySpace, Flickr, etc.)

It is possible to upload the following file formats using the KCW widget:

  1. Supported Video File Formats:
    flv, asf, qt, mov, mpg, mpeg, avi, wmv, mp4, m4v, 3gp, vob
  2. Supported Image File Formats:
    jpg, jpeg, bmp, png, gif, tif, tiff
  3. Supported Audio File Formats:
    flv, asf, wmv, qt, mov, mpg, avi, mp3, wav, mp4, wma, 3gp, vob.

When you use the upload media files using the desktop Browse selection, the file format is detected according to media file extension.
